The following are some of the treatments that we do here at FootSure:
- Biomechanics & Orthoses
A musculoskeletal (MSK) appointment may be needed when bones, joints and muscles are affected. As well as including common disorders which affect the bones, joints and muscles, we look for rarer conditions such as auto-immune diseases.
MSK symptoms can be secondary to more complex conditions, and can present as an acute pain in the bones/soft tissue, or they can be more chronic aches from conditions such as osteoarthritis.
MSK disorders affect a large section of the population, with foot and ankle pain affecting 20% of adults. Any age group can suffer from pain, however as we get older, we are more likely to struggle with pain.

- Diabetic Footcare
Diabetes is a condition that develops when the pancreas either fails to produce enough insulin to control the amount of glucose in the blood, or fails to use the insulin properly.
Diabetes can reduce the circulation and sensation in your feet, diminishing awareness of changes in temperature, and of pain and touch. A complication of diabetes is reduced circulation (ischaemia), which reduces the blood flow to the peripheral tissues.

- Fungal Nails and Laser Treatments
Fungal infections can affect both the skin and nails, particularly in a warm, dark and moist environment. Commonly on the skin we know it as athlete’s foot. The medical name is Tinea Pedis. It can cause red and itchy skin anywhere from between the toes to the bottom of the foot. Sometimes we will have athlete’s foot without having any symptoms.
If athletes foot is left untreated it can start to affect the nail leading to a discoloured, thickened and crumbly nail.
